Welcome to Zippep’s Astro Circus, the fun and interactive way to teach your children about cybersafety. Play games, colour in, and learn about cybersafety with Zippep’s friends.
Parents or teachers should play alongside their children to establish a dialogue about their actions and behaviours when online.
A number of online safety messages are reinforced throughout the games and as the child progresses they collect tickets for each completed game. Each ticket unlocks a new reward inside the Big Top.
The game has been built around the principles of THINK.
T – Tell a member of your trust club if you see something online that upsets you or if someone makes you feel unhappy. You can also talk to another trusted adult like a teacher.
H – Hide your password. Only ever share it with members of your trust club – never with your friends. Someone else could go online pretending to be you and do something that could get you into trouble.
I – Interesting websites can be fun. Check with Mum or Dad if a site is okay to use before you visit. Sometimes they can set up a list of good sites just for you.
N – Name calling or being mean online isn’t cool and could be cyberbullying. Be nice when talking online or over the phone. Look out for yourself and for others.
K – Keep your personal information safe. Never give your real name, address or phone number to anyone you don’t know in the real world. Use a nickname in chat rooms or when you play games on the computer.
